Our Signature Events keep the pulse of our organization beating, allowing us to support more homeless animals and vital outreach programs than we otherwise could. Our business sponsorships, volunteers, vendors, fundraisers, and promoters are all an essential part of this effort. We hope you will join us for an upcoming event in whatever way you can.

Ways to Give
As many ways to give as there are animals to help.
The Potter League for Animals offers a variety of ways for you to make a contribution on behalf of the homeless pets in our community. However you choose to give, be assured that you are making a difference in the lives of animals and helping to enrich the human-animal experience.
Monthly gifts. Permanent gratitude.
Becoming a Friends Enriching Lives donor is an easy and convenient way to provide the reliable support our animals depend on all year long.
As a Friends Enriching Lives member, you will receive heartwarming stories about the animals whose lives you’ve saved. Each January, you receive a statement of your donations for the previous calendar year. Your gift is 100% tax deductible, and payment options include online, direct withdrawal, mail, and phone.
Pay a tribute that makes a difference.
Making a donation in honor or memory of a family member, friend or pet is a beautiful way to recognize their legacy. You can acknowledge birthdays, anniversaries, say “thank you” to a friend, or express sympathy over the loss of a person or pet with a tribute gift in any amount you choose.
Make a Tribute Gift
Make a contribution that’s set in stone.
Your customized tile is the perfect way to honor a special person, moment, or memory.
Professionally engraved with your words (up to forty characters), the personalized tile will be installed on the shelter grounds. Proceeds go toward fulfilling the Potter League’s Mission by contributing to our animal care, education programs and shelter services.
You can choose between two marble tiles to be engraved and placed in the shelter. Each tile represents your generous support of the Potter League, makes you a permanent part of the shelter, and an important presence in the community. These tiles carry a tradition of compassion and create a legacy for you, your family or your pet.
Work hard. Give big.
Through monthly automatic payroll deductions, it’s easy to make a difference. Your contribution helps provide quality care to thousands of homeless animals and to programs which offer people and animals a humane future. Every gift, large or small, helps save lives.

Matching Gift Program
The same giving. Double the impact.
Many employers offer matching gift programs that match employee charitable contributions. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and spouses. By enrolling in your company’s matching gift program, the impact of your gift will be doubled (or even tripled) and go that much further to help the animals in our care.
Matching Gifts are done through an individual company, so they would need to mail their matching gift form to us at: If your company has a matching gift program all you need to do is request a matching gift form from your Human Resources Department. Once completed, please mail it in with your gift to:
The Potter League
Development Office/Matching Gifts
87 Oliphant Lane
Middletown, RI 02842
If you have already made a donation but don’t have the matching gift form, complete it is as soon as possible and mail to us, indicating your recent gift. Once we receive the form, we will sign and return it to your employee to ensure the matching gift is credited to you.
Gifting Stocks & More
Monthly gifts. Permanent gratitude.
Donations of stocks, bonds, or real estate make a major difference that keeps on giving. Donations of this kind form a key element of our endowment, and your support is greatly appreciated.
Wills, Bequests & Estate Plans
Keep giving. Even when you’re gone.
The Potter League’s shelter was built—and our endowment created—by bequests and other gifts thoughtfully planned by animal lovers and friends of the shelter. If you own property, have a pension plan or a life insurance policy, you have assets that could be used for planned gifts to the Potter League. Once you give, you become a member of the Forever Friends Society, our most highly esteemed group of donors.
