Potter League Recognized for Excellence in Business
Christie Smith, executive director of the Potter League, accepts the 2008 Excellence in Business AwardBusiness Award in the Nonprofit category from Keith Stokes, executive director of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce.  The Excellence in Business Awards, hosted by the Newport County Chamber of Commerce, is designed to celebrate the outstanding achievements of local businesses and recognize the vital role they play in the economic wellbeing of our community.


Construction Update
The Potter League has begun construction on a new animal care and humane center at our present location. Click here to view the lastest photos of our progress.
Several departments have relocated to allow for construction. Click here for their locations.  Adoption and surrender services will continued to be offered at 87 Oliphant Lane in Middletown.

Coyote Info Line
Concerned about coyotes in your neighborhood?  The Potter League, in collaboration with the Conservation Agency's Narragansett Bay Coyote Study, has established a great resource to get your questions answered. Call 924-HOWL (4695) to speak with a knowledgeable wildlife expert! Individuals concerned about immediate safety issues are asked to call their local police department.

The Potter League is honored to be voted 2008 "Best Local Charity" by the readers of Newport Life Magazine.  For the past 10 years, we have received this distinction seven times.



Building Green
