Carol Chabot - Volunteer of the Year
Carol began volunteering in February of 1992. Next year will be her 20th year as a volunteer!
As a very active individual, Carol really enjoys being a dog walker. No matter the weather, you will see Carol religiously exercising our dogs by walking them up and down the driveway and through the field. She gently teaches our shelter dogs new skills, interacts with them, talks to them – and gives them one n one quality time.
Carol is one of our “go to” volunteers when it comes to bringing dogs out into the community. She has fabulous dog handling skills and the wisdom to know when they've reached their limit.
Carol helps at almost every event with terrific positive energy. She’s volunteered at many a Have-a-Heart and Walk for the Animals. And she has also been among our top fundraisers at the Walk.
Another talent she brings to the table is her incredible photographic skills. We are so fortunate that she is willing to share this skill with the Potter League to help to get more animals adopted. Carol is responsible for all those beautiful dog pictures you see on our website. We’ve had many, many compliments on our canine pictures. She also helps with some website and computer projects.
Thank you, Carol, for the many, many years of service you have given to our animals.
Andrew Panaggio - Lore Owens Award Winner

Andrew has been a volunteer with us since September of 2001. He’ll be celebrating 10 years in just a couple of months. Andrew is a member of TeamCat and arrives at the Potter League every Saturday morning, sometimes with his wonderful niece, to help us get ready for the day. He diligently wipes, scrubs, and scoops cat rooms and condos until the job is done.
No one who has lasted so long, is so consistent and is so reliable at doing this particular job. We can only remember 4 or 5 times in ten years when he hasn't been in. Andrew will also do any job he is asked to do. We need chairs moved, he’s there. The trash needs to go out, he’s there. Need more litter lugged somewhere, Andrew is happy to oblige. This wonderful, gentle man has given us so much and we are certainly blessed to have him as a volunteer.
