Be Kind to Animals Poster Contest

"Be Kind to Animals” Poster Contest 2015

The Potter League for Animals is hosting its 8th annual “Be Kind to Animals Week” Poster Contest! The competition is open to grades 2 through 12 as part of Be Kind to Animals Week, May 3 - 9. The deadline for entry is Friday, April 10th, 2015.

This year is the 100th Anniversary of Be Kind to Animals Week! This important event highlighting compassion towards animals was started by the American Humane Association in 1915, and for 100 years it has been celebrated nationally through poster contests just like this one.

In honor of this special occasion, the Poster Contest theme for all grades will be:

Be Kind to Animals

Animals cannot speak up for themselves, so it’s up to us to consider their needs and feelings. From caring for your own pets to respecting wildlife, we can all be kind to animals every day! Winning entries will display how people can and should show kindness towards animals.

An awards ceremony will take place at the Potter League during Be Kind to Animals Week. Anastacia Southland, Humane Educator at the Potter League, will present the awards. Winners will be notified in advance.
