Potter Pet University is a monthly lecture series about all things animal, usually held on the second Wednesday night of the month. From dog behavior to wildlife rehabilitation, each session brings in a new guest speaker and topic.

Acupuncture for Pets

at the Potter League for Animals, 87 Oliphant Lane, Middletown

Join us this month for an introduction to veterinary acupuncture. Dr. Christine Fain, DVM, from Newport Animal Hospital, will discuss the mechanics and techniques of acupuncture in animals, including a live demonstration with a dog currently receiving treatment from Dr. Fain. Veterinary acupuncture has been successful in the treatment of pain, arthritis, respiratory problems, skin problems, gastrointestinal problems and selective reproductive problems. Questions and answers will be addressed during the demonstration and lecture.
